So apparently, I have arthritis in my lower back. A spinal disc (L5 disc) in my lower spine is deteriorating, so everything is super compressed. On top of that, I also have osteophytes, which means that the edges around the lower spinal bones are abnormally sharp. This equates to major nerve pinching, which cases a lot of pain and pain running up and down my legs. The doctor suggested I do 3 things: 1. Start swimming 2. Sleep on a hard surface 3. Stop lifting heavy weights We’ll see how everything goes

are you ok now?i also stopped bodybuilding because my back hurts when i lift heavy weights..that’s why i do calisthenics now..but i wanna go back to lifting weights..

I’m into marching band, I have a really back beak, like 5 of the disks in my spine are out of place. And it doesn’t help me marching the biggest instrument.

Yes exercise will help but you may need medication such as Ibuprofen along with it. For those who cannot get to a pool look up some exercises that relieves back pain to. what ever you do with arthritis the secret is to “Keep moving”. If you stop you will loose more and more movement. Then it wins. So keep moving.

Dude it is a muscle issue. It’s called muscle imbalance. Your spine sits on your pelvis. When your pelvis is tilted it causes your spine to sit at an improper angle. hence the deterioration of your disk.

Dude I got the same depressing news too, it bites! I was told too that no more squating 500lbs and possible need to find a new job. thats going to be hard since am a firefighter. good luck and like you too am searching for answers.

Dude, my whole spine is trashed, surgeries shots. Oh and no more squating 500 and benching385 hah! Hell i canot push a pillow off of me in bed when your spine is trashed no anavar, deca, cypionate does anything good luck man!!!!!!
